Ask the UN Special Monitoring Centre to Papua

Jayapura - Two church leaders in Papua vocals respectively, Pdt. Socratez and Rev. Sofyan Yoman. Dr.. Beny Giay, met the Dutch ambassador Tjeerd de Zwaan accompanied by the Deputy Head of Political Division of the Embassy of the Netherlands, Maarten Van Den Bosch. 

The meeting lasted for two hours from 18:00 CET until 20:00 CET on Swissbelt Hotel, Jayapura, on Tuesday (2/7) evening.

Jewish Gifts To SBY and Papua's Independence Struggle

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received the Statesman Award from the Appeal of Conscience Foundation (ACF), a foundation based in New York, United States, Thursday (30/5), emerge amid protests from human rights activists and minority groups against the award because SBY assessed failed to prevent intolerance.

In the award ceremony, Rabbi Arthur Schneier, leader of the ACF said, SBY chosen because as a leader in the largest Muslim nation in the world, he is trying to pursue peace and help Indonesia develop into a democratic society and the fight against extremism. This award is recognition of his achievements in international efforts to maintain peace and encouragement to improve human rights, religious liberty, and interfaith cooperation.
